Future
The disgust being shown by the British electorate is directed at the individual MPs, but is actually affecting all MPs. If we are going to solve the revulsion which we are seeing we need to tackle the underlying problem of how did the mess get into a state like our’s or how did the state get into a mess like our’s.
The core problem is that individual MPs are NOT allowed to affect policy, which is dictated by their party paymasters, NOR to affect laws, which are laid down in
The only reason Parliament exists is to pretend we make our own laws or to be ready if and when we decide to leave the EU. In fairness we do make a few laws ourselves though as the attendances in the Commons show we could reduce the number of MPs by ninety per cent – really just a local authority for the EU.
Why do we need a Parliament at all if we’ve transferred our sovereigns rights to the EU?
Which cost-saving shall we choose:
- Eliminate the cost of Parliament, both House of Commons and House of Lords OR
- Eliminate the cost of EU membership and the cost of the regional assemblies
We have ended-up with the worst of all worlds and the MPs know they no longer have a real job and they also know they’ve created this shambles.
