Voting according to their conscience and the needs of their constituents

The objective is to get 200 Independents into the House of Commons, so that there is a Free and Fair discussion before agreeing to new legislation.

Twelve policies:

- End the party whip system to give a free and fair discussion

- Transparent pay for MPs and expenses etc as if civil servants

- Step up an independent Politicians Complaints Commission

- Cap donations to Political Parties

- Elected membership of Select Committees rather than appointments by the whips

- Scrutinise and ‘de minimis’ European legislation

- Term limits for MPs of three terms

- Elections every five years

- Referendum if demanded by 5% of the electorate

- Government Departments to be run by a ‘Board’

- Independent Government Statistics

- Referendum on the EU
