Future Britain – The Organisation of the House. I would propose: We want to make life easier for MPs and to reduce the costs for the tax-payer. We want the MPs to be based in their constituencies and to be seen to be working continuously on the behalf of their constituents. The Houses of Parliament were structured years, decades, even centuries ago. .... more »

Future Britain – Oath of Allegiance and the Party System. The wording of the Oath of Allegiance has been much amended over the centuries, but currently reads 'I swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, her heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God.' For the future.... more »

Bankers Bonuses and Banks Tax Losses. Whenever a company completes their annual accounts, the directors are required to confirm the overall value of their assets on a ‘true and fair’ basis, a statement required from them by the auditors. Naturally they will have numerous types of assets and complex methods of valuation, none-the-less they are signing the accounts. They failed to see that these valuations were hopelessly inaccurate .... more »
