Gluten Free restaurants & hotels, Shoreham Bramber, West Sussex

We had a family crisis, with the result that no one felt like cooking meals and we needed to get out particularly walking over the Downs. The weather was glorious and the views over the Adur valley are beautiful. So during the course of the week we went to three places, all true, tried and tested:

- Tosca, Shoreham by Sea, always have gluten free pasta available, it's very civilised, very smart and has a view through to the River Adur

- The Cottage Tandoori, Shoreham By Sea, except, I think, for the nan bread, it's all GF and very tasty, centuries old building, black and white with 'duck or grouse' doorways

- The Old Toolgate Hotel in Bramber, a Best Western, a superb carvery and buffet where the chefs quietly and professionally will point out the non-gluten free items. Everything else are all clear and there were seven gf desserts plus the cheese board. I've never seen my daughter so relaxed and eating well when out.

Really, really very good food.
