Gluten Free, at The Ship Inn, Southwick, West Sussex. We have received a very warm welcome from a traditional publican with a traditional pub.

A man who loves food and is a trained chef. He will always find you some lovely food, a lovely meal. Everyone there are regulars, some I'm sure have been going there for decades!! It's the sort of place that Artois got their helpfulness ideas from.

The word that springs to mind in describing the ambience and style is "The Tap Room". I lost count of number of horse brasses and there's sets of brass platters, sets of mugs, sets of sailing ships, sets of Bells of Whisky, pictures from centuries past and from decades past.

A simple lunchtime snack today, jacket potatoes with tuna and salad with a glass of wine.
