17th April 2008. Funghi al alio followed by Spaghetti Bolognese (actually Gluten Free Penne.rather than Spaghetti) Just what the doctor ordered, plus the House Red. Excellent. Get the special offer that Salman has running Monday to Thursdays.

Updated 10th April 2008. Il Limone is our regular, most frequented restaurant, which we visit on average once every two or three weeks. last night they had run out of GF pasta so I had Moules Marinieres followed by Salmon and Asparagus (much better for me than pasta) and accompanied by a Montepuliciano. In summary an excellent meal.

 Update at 24th Nov 2007. Saman and his wife were excellent hosts as ever. Gluten Free pasta is in stock all the time. We had Spirelli Tricolore with chicken al ...., in one case, and with Bolognaise, in another.

In our case we need some 'gluten-free' choices. The easy ones are:

Starters:
Gamberoni Amore, king prawns, with garlic butter, white wine, olve oil and lemon.
Cornetto di salmone, fresh salmon with soft cheese served with salad and prawns

Chicken Funghetto, with mushrooms, onion, white wine and garlic.
Chicken Venetiana, with red wine, prwans and cream
Chicken Parmiggiana, with Aubergines, olives and pomodoro tomato sauce - excellent
Chicken Siciciana, with garlic, pomodoro sauce, wrapped in ham and mozzarella
Chicken Salad, with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and black olives


Fish
Red Mullet Il Limone, with tomato, cream, onion, prawns
Sea Bass Grilled, garlic, lemon juice, olives oil - beautiful
Sea Bass Marinara, with tomato, garlic, onions, mussels and prawns
Gamberoni All Aglio, King Prwans, garlic, lemon, olive oil, parsley, - exceptional

Steak
Grilled Sirloin steak, with mushrooms and grilled tomato, served with salad (ignore the chips)
Sirloin Steak al Funghi, onion, mushrooms, cream, pepper corns (refuse the gravy) with salad (refuse the chips)

Salad Nicoise with tuna, eggs, anchovies, capers, tmato, cucumber and olives.

Beautiful salad with Balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
Fresh vegetables,
'Fried mushrooms' are fresh mushrooms, fried in olive oil with garlic and parsley.

Pasta, at present take your own in and allow a bit of time for the cooking, just enough time to take the Gamberoni Amore. Fabulous.

Sweets and desserts are limited to Ice Cream.
