8th February 2010. John Timpson's article in today's Telegraph reminds me why we need Trades Unions. A superb example of "Pull the ladder up, I'm OK so sod the rest of you." Talking about the problem how to handle your employees coming upto retirement. more »

Future Britain – Fifty years time, the Infrastructure. The population will rise to seventy million because everyone wants to come to Britain.
People will flock to Britain because we provide freedom of speech; we protect our people and their property; we have the finest education, health and medical care; we have the best culture, sport and entertainment and we’re a successful nation with low tax and minimal government interference. We will have re-invented the British people, to be powerful, fair, and honest. The challenges we face.... more »

Future Britain – Sorting out the Parliamentary Mess. Well we’ve had two weeks now of facts about the venality of so many of our MPs and I think this information is from only 150 MPs out of our Total 648. What’s to be done? May I suggest: the fastest is to ask each MP.. more »

Future Britain – “A plague on all their houses”. So we can see with more clarity what we’ve felt was always the problem with our politicians – greed. All they wanted was a job for as long as possible, collecting as much money as possible and they don’t care the damage they do. more »

Future Britain - The wonder of the G20 summit!

Future Britain – Council procurement procedures. Altogether it’s a very poor deal for the council tax payers AND for our local businesses. I finally understand where it all goes wrong in procurement. There’s a professional procurement team who are disciplined to follow the guidelines……. Precisely and totally. They are disliked by their ‘client’ departments in the council for ‘interfering.’ So what’s the problem?
The core problems are:
1. They are over-worked so to minimise the amount of work more »

Future Britain – The Organisation of the House. I would propose: We want to make life easier for MPs and to reduce the costs for the tax-payer. Bankers Bonuses and Banks Tax Losses. Whenever a company completes their annual accounts, the directors are required to confirm the overall value of their assets on a ‘true and fair’ basis, a statement required from them by the auditors. Naturally they will have numerous types of assets and complex methods of valuation, none-the-less they are signing the accounts. They failed to see that these valuations were hopelessly inaccurate .... more »

Future Britain – Scenario to explain the banking crash.
Written 10th Feb 2009. Updated 12th Feb 2009. FUTURE BRITAIN – the Target of 600 Independent MPs. Future Britain lays out a series of policies which could help get Britain going again. It’s not a political party; it’s more a political movement about freedom, confidence and self-reliance. We can’t have prescribed policies when each MP has a free vote, every time on every topic. The nearest we can get is a set of policies which people seem to like..... more »
